Introduction, first reading and consideration of a motion to order published by title only Ordinance 8523, amending Title 9, “Land Use Code,” B.R.C. 1981, to update and simplify the use table and use standards and setting forth related details.

BRIEF HISTORY OF ITEM
The Use Table and Standards project began in 2019. That year, Phase One updates were made related to the districts within the Opportunity Zone. The project was paused in Fall 2020 due to staffing challenges during the pandemic. Phase Two of the project has been re-initiated in 2022. These updates to the land use code focus on functional changes to improve the usability of the use table and standards. Planning Board is expected to review the ordinance and make a recommendation at their May 5 meeting.
